Royce Gracie was there for the Spanish-language cable network mun2 launch of a new mixed martial arts reality show (Combate Americas).
Created by UFC co-founder Campbell McLaren, “Combate Americas” will debut on mun2 in early 2014, according to the official release.
“Combate Americas is the most exciting addition to MMA since the beginnings of the UFC 20 years ago,” said McLaren. “It was specifically created to present the best new Hispanic fighters and to introduce a whole new audience to this highly entertaining sport.”
Mun2 has ordered 10, one-hour episodes of “Combate Americas,” which will follow 10 mixed martial artists as they compete to win a contract with the promotion of the same name. The series is currently in production in Miami.
