I kind of hate Aoki for this. Everybody knows Sakuraba. There should be respect in this. Personally I feel like if you go into a match with Saku at this point in his career, with his broken body and broken knees and ears you should only strike on the feet. What the hell was all this violent ground and pound? Why not just grapple with a legend instead of beating the living shit out of him. If this was Sakuraba from Pride 2 or 3 I guarantee Aoki would be broken and destroyed. I always appreciated Shinya’s skill, but this was disrespectful. Saku is so old. Why not just give the fans what they want? A nice grappling match between two skilled grapplers instead of a young man beating the shit out of an old man.
